ABOUT US

Michelle Langdon is the owner of Blume Design Studio. She has 15 years of experience working in landscape design in San Diego. Most recently, Michelle worked as a designer, project manager – seeing projects through construction, and estimator for a landscape contractor. This has given her a wide range of knowledge to create designs that are in budget and contractor ready.

Previous to this she also worked as a designer at landscape architecture firms and other design companies on a range of projects in commercial, municipal and residential work. She bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Massachusetts.

BEING GREEN

Designs that use low water use plants and maximize efficiency of water are always a goal. Michelle believes that low water use plants can be applied to any style garden and achieve the look that the design calls for. She also likes to use locally sourced materials and recycled materials when appropriate for the project.

PASSIONS

Michelle has always loved design and spatial planning – rearranging furniture and designing her bedroom when she was young to houses and yards as she got older. It was the everchanging aspects of landscapes that drew her into this field- envisioning what it will look like years down the road. Being able to use this skill to help people enjoy their life and health through improved outdoor environments is what makes this work matter to her.
